Scholarship Committee From the Office of the Vice President of Scholarship My Fellow Phi Theta Kappans:
First, I would like to say what an honor it is to be on the executive committee in such a distinguished organization. Although I am relatively new to my officer position but have made it my pledge to give my all to this organization because in the little amount of time I have been a part of the Alpha Mu Tau chapter I have reaped so much. I had no idea how much fun I would have, how much I would learn, and the fulfillment of character I would receive by becoming an ACTIVE member. Now, throughout Phi Theta Kappa International the Honors Study Topic for 2008-2010 is The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges, and Consequences. The Alpha Mu Tau chapter will direct its focus towards The Paradox of Affluence in the Fine Arts. Each one of our general member meetings will be geared towards a specific aspect of Fine Arts and how it relates to the paradox. I strongly urge you all to take full advantage of the chance that has been laid before you. If I had not become an officer I know I probably would not be as involved as I am; that thought is disappointing. Please join us the rest of the year and help make a difference in our community, a difference in others, and a difference in ourselves. I am looking forward to learning and working along side you all.
Thank You, Creighton Holley Vice President of Scholarship
